Johns MGB makes is ready for its mot.

The car is a little unusual in that it has a Lancia twin cam 2.0 engine and a Fiat 5 speed grearbox. But John wanted better handling to match so I have put a narrowed SD1 axle on and made a Watts link system to hold the axle in place. It also has MGOC parabolic springs with Spax dampers.

Of course its not that simple, the Watts link wants to occupy the same space as the fuel tank and the handbrake cable needs to go through the exhaust!

We have had huge supplier problems, delaying things by months and faulty parts leading to misalignment issues. But with John armed with a telephone there was nowhere for them to hide.

I also had to repair some things that were not done right by who ever did the engine conversion. But its all together now and a brief test drive showed the new axle system works a treat!
